With vast experience in the design of aircraft interiors, modifications and interior components, the Design Center at MacCarthy Interiors now offers a sub-contract design service.
The intention is to provide innovative cost effective solutions with practical, manufacturing considerations.
We assist by adopting the project management and creating a working solution within tight timescales. In all cases, attention to detail is paramount and achieving utmost quality is policy.
The computer modeling data generated in the design phase is used to compile stress data using the latest Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software package.
MacCarthy's stress engineering capability is also offered for utilisation to third parties. All documentation is approved to relevant airworthiness requirements under E1/E2 UK CAA Approvals.

Our specialist design team
can undertake all forms of design tasks, from simple metal structures,
to complete composite cabin components including crew rests, bulkheads,
class dividers, beauticians units, galleys, seats, etc.
All design is conducted on state of the art 3D computer aided design packages.
All data can be electronically transferred for design reviews and customer
input.
Electrical Systems
Design
Electrical systems are developed to suit the customer requirements with
the appropriate certification. This includes the management of IFE Systems
from the initial design stage through to installation.
Cabin re-configurations
Cabin re-configurations are developed with considerations for ergonomic
factors to ensure comfort and safety for operation.
