Crew training areas

The two mock-up's, (an Airbus A320 and Airbus A340) were designed so that everything required from the floor up was easy to assemble as well as disassemble. The entire mock-up has been built with easy transportation in mind.

The floor is made up of multiple pallets which interlock to form the aircraft floor plan. On top of this goes the carpet, seat track and all of the monuments including toilet units, stowage and galley modules.

For realism, full functionality was require for most of the galley assemblies, so coffee makers, ovens, work lights, water fittings and sinks all work.

All seating is of aircraft specification and fully functional as well as the cabin attendant call system and no smoking - fasten seat belt's indicators. A cabin announcement system is also provided.

Cabin staff training can now take place in an environment that is as close to the real aircraft as possible, ensuring that attendants are fully familiar with the surroundings and equipment that they will actually use on the aircraft.

MacCarthy Interiors will be pleased to quote for one-off furnishing and VIP interior work where short lead time, design and manufacturing are required. Due to our flexible manufacturing capability, we can often incorporate modification work at short notice to fit in with customer timescales.
